Prepare the solution by adding two tablespoons of vinegar, five drops of dish soap to half a cup of warm water. Mix the solution thoroughly before using it.
For sugar-dish solution, you need:
Add one tablespoon of sugar, two tablespoons of vinegar, five drops of dish soap to half a cup of warm water. Again, mix the solution properly before using it.
The sugar solution could be a more effective gnat trap as it contains higher concentrations of attracts (vinegar and sugar) as supposed to only vinegar solution.
You can skip adding water to the solution and use half a cup of vinegar only instead if the gnats aren’t being trapped.
After preparing the dish soap solution, transfer it to a bowl or jar. Place this bowl or jar in areas around the house where you find most gnats. Gnats will be trapped once they get attracted and start feeding on the solution.
