For preparing this solution you need:

  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Dish soap
  • Warm water

Prepare the solution by mixing 2 tablespoons of vinegar, five drops of dish soap, and ½-cup of warm water.

Alternatively, you could also use sugar to create even a stronger solution.

Sugar-dish soap solution

You will need:

  • Sugar
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Dish soap
  • Warm water

To prepare the solution, mix 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 tablespoons of vinegar, five drops of dish soap, and ½-cup of warm water.

Note: You could skip adding water if you want a concentrated solution, but will have to compensate with a higher amount of vinegar.

Placing the dish soap solution

After preparing this solution, place this open bowl in locations where you find gnats hovering around in your house. Leave the solution undisturbed for 24 hours. Replace the mixture and repeat the process until no more gnats are left in the location.

Note: If the problem persists, you can increase the vinegar content to prepare a stronger mixture.
