Maybe, you got to know apple cider vinegar is very effective at driving gnats away but want the specifics.

So, here’s a guide to help you get rid of gnats with apple cider vinegar.

The apple cider solution

Preparation

You will need the following things:

  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Water
  • Dish soap

To prepare the solution, mix two tablespoons of vinegar, five drops of dish soap in half a cup of water. You could even add a tablespoon of sugar to make a stronger solution.

Note: If the solution isn’t effective, you could skip adding water and use half a cup of vinegar.

Placement

After preparing, transfer it to a bowl or jar. Place this solution in areas where you find the highest gnat traffic, leaving it undisturbed for at least 12 hours.

How it works

The vinegar and sugar in the solution act as a lure since gnats are attracted to their smell. The dish soap helps break the surface tension of water to allow gnats to feed on the solution. When the gnats start feeding, they get trapped due to the stickiness of dish soap.

Gnats will no longer be a problem…
