We shall be using apple cider vinegar for getting rid of gnats.

Preparation

You will need:

  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Water
  • Sugar
  • Dish soap

Add two tablespoons of vinegar, five drops of dish soap and a tablespoon of sugar to half a cup of water. Mix them thoroughly.

You can skip using water and compensate with half a cup of vinegar to make a concentrated solution.

Placement

After preparing the solution, transfer the solution to a bowl or jar. Put the bowl or jar in areas around the house where you find most gnats hovering.

How it works

The vinegar, along with sugar, attracts gnats with its smell. Gnats come to feed on the solution, but get trapped and drown into the mixture due to the stickiness of dish soap.
